Roland Park Country Day School

The + was working together to reduce the demolition timeline in half and reworking the plan multiple times to guarantee the school opened its doors on day one, right on schedule.

KasCon delivered a 55,000 SF renovation for Roland Park Country School modernizing classrooms, offices, shared spaces, corridors, two libraries and the school’s auditorium across three levels and two buildings, all in 12 weeks.

The scope went well beyond finishes. Crews demolished an existing wall to install a new movable partition and installed all-new millwork throughout the classrooms and science rooms, including new phenolic countertops. New ceilings, lighting and an entirely new sprinkler system rounded out the build.

The real challenge wasn’t the scope. It was the calendar. With more than 500 campers on campus throughout construction, every delivery, every subcontractor arrival and every work sequence had to work around the kids’ schedules. KasCon reworked the project plan several times to keep pace with the school’s needs and delivered a complete, on-time, under-budget renovation inside a fully active summer camp season.
