Maryland Vision Institute

The + was working closely with the landlord to deliver a successful project on time while responding to changes in design and existing conditions.

KasCon built out 6,500 square feet of shell space on the first floor of a newly constructed commercial medical building in Frederick, MD, consolidating multiple local practices under one roof for MD Vision. With other construction projects ongoing in the building simultaneously, KasCon coordinated with other general contractors’ schedules to ensure proper execution of the MD Vision timeline. The build-out included all new MEP systems, life safety, walls, ceilings, millwork, doors/frames/hardware, automatic door controls, glass, and finishes throughout. Coordination with the landlord was paramount to the project’s success — the team approach made for a truly collaborative partnership. The aggressive schedule left no room for delay, as merging several local practices required that specific dates be held so medical patients could be seen without interruption. KasCon delivered on time, getting MD Vision operational as planned.
