The + was collaborating directly with end-user and design professionals from the beginning of the project to facilitate a successful end-result.

KasCon transformed an empty metal building into a new state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility for this large wholesale seafood distributor in Jessup, Maryland. The project began with an existing warehouse building with minimal infrastructure apart from an existing 800 square foot office. We improved the power and water capacity as well as upgraded the electrical service from a 400-amp with 150 KVA BGE transformer to a 1200-amp with  a new 1,000 KVA transformer to support the facility’s power consumption needs. In addition to these utility upgrades, a new 350 KW natural gas generator was installed to back up the facility’s freezer and refrigerator power as well as a 1500-gallon solid interceptor for fish processing.  The warehouse space was transformed to showcase new building features such as larger office, cooler and freezer areas for product storage, loading areas for product delivery and fish processing areas. Because the building framework could not support the weight of the freezer and cooler areas mechanical equipment, a structural steel “cage” was constructed to allow for a 25,000 square foot cooler and freezer areas.
