The + was delivering a quality project on schedule while effectively managing design changes and providing exceptional customer management to the local franchise owner new to the construction process.

KasCon completed the renovation of existing office space into a modern pet daycare and boarding facility for Hounds Town in Columbia, MD. As a national franchise operation, this project required close coordination between local and national representatives, as well as an out-of-town design team. Successfully balancing franchise requirements with local end-user preferences was a critical aspect of this project.

This unique project required innovative thinking to accommodate the specific needs of animal occupants. The renovation included specialty finishes throughout the facility, interior fencing systems for designated play areas, and custom day-time suites for pets. Key technical elements included spray foam insulation for enhanced sound attenuation, new overhead doors and control systems, updated lighting and controls, and custom millwork features. Specialized wall protection was installed to provide both aesthetic appeal and functional durability.
