This complex medical build-out transformed 10,000 square feet into a state-of-the-art eye surgery center in Baltimore County. KasCon partnered with an out-of-state surgical team and medical consultant group, guiding the project from early planning through final inspections. Because the project involved out-of-state leadership, KasCon worked closely with the doctor and consultant team through regular coordination meetings, detailed design discussions, and proactive problem-solving to ensure all clinical requirements were met while navigating local codes and permitting. The facility features two fully equipped operating rooms designed to meet strict surgical standards, supported by nurse stations that enhance workflow and patient care. Two additional operating rooms are shelled for future growth. KasCon installed a complete back-up generator system with secure brick masonry exterior enclosure, medical gas systems with vacuum pump, nurse call system, and new rooftop air-handling units to meet the center’s specialized air-quality and climate-control needs. This project reflects KasCon’s commitment to collaboration, clarity, and excellence in specialized healthcare construction.
